Winning the toss Delboy sent the opposition in, with the hope of early wickets. This would have been the case but a series of missed opportunities saw the visitors progress nicely.
Their opener Rodrigo had scored a ton at their place a year ago, so we knew how important it was to get him out. Unfortunately we dropped him four times before fifty and it got worse after that. In the end he got 150 and only a late burst of wickets saw take seven victims as the seasiders closed on 259 for 7.
A mention for two of our lads Joe "the sheriff" Woodley who bowled with aggression and claimed three wickets and young Luke behind the sticks who kept superbly and took a couple of stunning catches as well.
The reply was brutal from Wince & Webby as they rattled up 88 for none in 10 overs. Thankfully it didn't stop there as they put on 186 for the first wicket.
Webby hitting his first ton for a while before being deceived by a slower one. A brilliant innings and hopefully the first of many more 100's season. Wince scored 70 odd as he played a great supporting role. It was left to Adam and Powlie to finish things off with a couple of overs to spare.
In the end a very decent victory against a side we have struggled to beat in the past. Yes we dropped a few catches and the general standard of fielding was poor having said that their's was not much better.
There were good performances from Webby, Wince, Wooders and Lukey and if we can beat Hadleigh next week we will move into the top five.
