The first's were off on their travels again, this time to the seaside and Felixstowe away. A couple of changes to the side saw Russell Davis and new signing Amit Gupta in and Chris Silverwood & Joe Woodley out. Delboy lost the toss and the home side batted. They scored a reasonable 200 for 9 with Amit picking up three wickets, Sully two and there was one each for Russ, Stu & Youngsey. The highlights saw Dan Wilks carried off with a bad back and Youngsey & Godders share the duties thereafter. Pretty good job aswell i thought though Godders was a touch more nimble than myself. The reply was not great as we slumped to 16 for 2. Del and Amit pushed the score to just over 50 when the skipper chipped to mid off. Sam was out with the score at 90 to a decent catch to carry on his bad luck this season. DP came in and played the way only DP can and lashed a quick 25 before nicking one to slip. While this was going on Amit continued on his merry way with delightful shots all round the ground. Del was also running for him as he cramped up while smashing another six. Youngsey then came in and put on 60 odd with the new boy to finish things off. Amit's debut was one of the best i've seen and probably fair to say we would have been unlikely to win without it. That said 19pts in the bag and looking forward to next week. Problem , no AMIT & no SILVERS but Wince is back as is the Sherif !!!!
