 Felixstowe Corinthians - Home
THE JESSIE & JOEY SHOW.

I got a phone call on Wednesday evening from 1st Team saying Dan Wilkins is carrying an injury, you can have him, put him at slip, he'll do you a job.
As 2nd team skipper you have to accept these decisions and as Micky was attending another wedding, I thought a limping 'Jessie' may after all improve the fielding!
What transpired was pure theatre as not only did he field a darn site better but he constructed a career best 115 and his maiden century for HCC. 21 sumptuous fours from the blade of the 'Ryder' saw us reach a respectable 219 against one of our title rivals.
At tea, I was not sure as this was enough as flicking through the visitors score book, big numbers are racked up on a regular basis and their Aussie opener was fresh off a 147no last week.
At 70 odd for no wicket and a half century for the antipodean things were looking a bit grim but cometh the hour and what turned out to be an inspired, if desperate, double bowling change by yours truly saw Joey's second delivery destroy the middle stump of the Aussie run machine and a quite dramatic turnaround ensued. Milhouse twirled away at one end while JK produced his best spell ever and the visitors batsmen were back and forward to the pavilion as often as Irish Pat is to the bar.
10 wickets for 23 runs with Milhouse 4-20 and Joey 6-18 saw us through to a crushing 117 run victory.
A slightly embarrassing send off by JK nearly saw him end up with a bat round his head but don't worry Joey we have plenty of big boys to look after you.
After the game spirits were high and at the age of 47, Martyn was thrilled to learn how to pull a proper pint.
