The visitors change bowlers were much more accurate and caused the batsmen quite a bit of trouble with nagging line and length but Phil Jones(29) and Luke Youngs (21) carried on accumulating runs sensibly. A typical hard hitting 40 from Mick Rinaldi looked like giving Haverhill a big total but theinnings fell away in the pursuit of quick runs and last 6 wickets went for just 30 runs and the home side ended all out for 206.
A very lively opening spell from Rus Davis put the visitors on the back foot andcombined with some accurate line and length bowling from Nurul Hoque the scoring rate was kept under control. Nurul removed the top three of the Coggeshall order including the dangerous Blackwell and he was joined in the attack by the wily spin of Dan Webb and between them they dismissed the middle and lower order and saw Haverhill through to victory by 87 runs, Hoque finishing with 4-39 off 13 overs and Webb 5-39 off 12.
Skipper Julian Poole said ' I was a liitle disappointed with our total as again a number of batsmen got themselves in but didn't kick on for a big score. However, super bowling from Dan (Webb) and Nurul (Hoque) ensured we got another 20 points in the bag'
