The weather stayed fair with a sometimes gusty breeze . Haverhill won the toss and batted first . Haverhill were soon in trouble as a terrible mix up between openers Adrian Wigan and Carl Bradford resulted in Wigan run out for 3 .

Liam Savage stayed for three balls before being bowled by the sharp bowling of J.McKinney . By the end of the sixth over Haverhill were in some difficulty as Bradford was caught of the bowling of Parsons.

With the score now 25 for 3 what was required was a steadying partnership , thankfully this was delivered by the next two batsmen Dan Poole and David Saville . Both batted carefully and sensibly at first before increasing the run rate . With a delightful 67 from Dan Poole and a very valuable 30 from David Saville supplying a partnership worth 108 the ship was now steadied again . Poole was out caught off the bowling of McKinney , soon followed by the wicket of Saville . Haverhill skipper Graham Brandejs and Dean Sharpe then formed another valuable partnership , this time worth 68 of only 9 overs , before Brandejs was out for 39. Russell Davis added a quick 16 and Dean Sharpe was not out 24 when the innings closed for 240 .

Tuddenham’s reply got off to a bad start when Russell Davis bowled the skipper Martin Smith in the first over. Replaced by all rounder McKinney a 90 run partnership followed at a rate that was on target for the total required . Steve Saville eventually broke the partnership bowling opener Titcombe for 46. Another dangerous batsman D.Cross joined McKinney and once again the total was looking achievable until in the 29th over Cross was bowled by Dan Poole with the total on 149. The required run rate soon increased as Haverhill’s bowlers tightened their grip on the game . McKinney was eventually out for a fine 78 , bowled by Joe Woodley . Tuddenham reached 194 for 6 after their 40 overs , Haverhill winning the game by 46 runs .
