Brockley won the toss and elected to field and Haverhill openers Julian Poole and Steve Taylor set a sound base before Taylor was dismissed with the score on 37. Paul Sullivan(23) and Mick Rinaldi (27) added useful runs before departing to the steady bowling of Fisher.
Poole carried on his merry way and was joined by youngsters Chris Thompson (20) and Russell Davies (14no) who helped push the Haverhill total to 248 for 6 off the allotted 45 overs. Julian Poole finished unbeaten on 116 and was glad of the tea interval.
Brockley's reply could not have started any worse as Nurul Hoque took 2 wickets in his first over and went on to bowl 8 very tight overs for just 15 runs including 6 maidens.
The rest of the Brockley Innings was dominated by the young Haverhill bowling attack whose accuracy was first class.
Wickets went to Luke Youngs(2-11), Steven Fox (1-7) and someinteresting leg spin by Chris Thompson who cleaned up the tail with 4-18.
Mention should go to Josh Meekings and Russell Davies who both bowled well without reward.
Brockley were dismissed for 103 giving Haverhill an excellent 145 run victory.
A tough game is expected next week as Haverhill visit Colchester Garrison
